is this zine for profit or for charity? i don't think the carrd was ever updated about that
The zine is for charity! We will make an announcement later this month about the chosen charity.
hi!!! i know this zine was digital only because there wasn't that much response in the interest check, but it looks like there's a lot more followers. would the mod team ever consider holding a second interest check for physical print? i get it if not but god i just really want a physical choso zine TT-TT
Hi there! We are actually planning on holding a second, informal, interest check to see about possible physical interest! We're just waiting on graphics.
Can I ask how many contributor slots there will be? How many artists? How many writers? I’m also curious if you know how many people applied!
Hello! We invited a ratio of 3:2:1 for artists:writers:merch! Not including guests, we have invited around 30 wonderful contributors! In total of applications, we had a total of 61 applicants, with some folks applying to more than one role!
Hi! So I'm a little confused as to why there are 16 mods on this team? I'm a bit intimidated as a potential applicant. Can we know a little more about the decision-making process for this choice and how you all will organize yourselves as a team, so as to not overwhelm your contributors?
Of course! We have 16 mods on this team for a few reasons. One is that each mod has an intern they can rely on if things get out of hand in their own lives as well as giving folks with little or no zine experience a chance to learn how things work behind the scenes and get experience of their own. While major decisions about the zine, such as title and types of contributors, are decided collaboratively, for things like actually judging applicants, the final decision will come down to the head mod and lead mod for each contributor type. Tasks are laid out so as not to provide overlap on duties. Contributors will have primary contact with the head mod and mod of their type, rather than everyone messaging you all at once!
