hey! my address changed, is there any way i can update that for shipping?
Hello! Right now the last of our items are en route to our shipping mod. Please wait until we post an address update form — you'll be able to update your address at that time!
would u consider a v2? i wanna participate next time!
Our team has no plans to continue with a second volume — there's only enough Makima for one cookbook's worth of recipes, after all!
If you want to grab our items before the project ends for good, make sure to follow our social medias so you don't miss leftover sales!
Congrats on reaching the second milestone! How many people are involved in total in making the zine?
We have 52 total team members, with 7 mods & 45 contributors!

Right, we've been saying this.
how many apps did you get ? :0
Hello!
Thank you so much for 250+ applications — every single one has been a pleasure to review! We look forward to getting results out by March 31st :]
Since it's kinda vague on the faq, what kinds of ships are okay for the project? Will there be problematic ships included in it?
Hello! We ship all flavors together — as long as they taste good, that is!! Our chefs are fantastic at marrying different ingredients together to create a delectable dish.
Oh, did you mean characters? Since this is a cookbook, we ask that all content stays platonic (or gen) in order to better showcase the food!!
if minors dont mind not receiving profit, would they be able to apply?
Hello!
Unfortunately, given the source material of this zine & the overall themes of the zine, the mods of this project are not comfortable including minors in the project, as there may be discussion that is NSFW or otherwise inappropriate for minors in the server and we do not want to be held accountable for exposing minors to such topics.
We do understand that many minors are fantastic creators & definitely mature enough to handle this type of conversation, so we are truly sorry for the disappointment — we hope to see you in our other projects though!
Hi! I think a lot of applicants/ future contributors are concerned about a repeat situation like the one that happened with the canceled zine and the contributor accused of art theft. It would be fantastic and a relief if you could acknowledge those concerns in a section on your zine guidelines. Thanks!
Hello! We've updated our contributor guidelines, located in our information document, to include a more detailed overview of our expectations!
hey this zine seems rlly cool and I wanna support it but one of your mods was recently involved in a now-cancelled zine that accused a contributor of copyright infringement for using art refs. what is this project doing to make sure something like this doesn't happen again? would love to apply if this can be addressed, thx
Hello,
With so many artists on the mod team, we understand the concern. Many of us reference free-to-use photography or even take our own photos to trace over as we draw! References are an integral part of creating art for us.
We spoke directly with the mod in question to address any potential issues that may arise with our own artists or other contributors. They were very understanding of our questions and privately shared a full explanation of the mods' actions, as well as the artwork and references that raised the initial concerns on their previous project.
Additionally, both them and the previous mod team apologized publicly and privately to the contributor to acknowledge the mistakes made in how that situation was handled. This mod told us of her personal resolve to learn from this situation and to strive to have more open communication so that this mistake isn't repeated — they have explained to us how they would have handled this situation differently, should a similar situation arise in our own project or others.
We also recognize that the decisions and actions made in the previous project were not solely that mod's, but were made by the entire mod team. As a team, we are able to personally ensure this situation won't repeat on our project, especially with this mod's dedication to improve communication if there are any concerns that need to be addressed.
We also recognize that this mod has completed many projects with sincerity and professionality. We acknowledge the full history of their moderating experiences & value their expertise in a variety of fields — we hope to extend grace alongside accountability for all members of our team.
We previously addressed a concern regarding this issue located here: https://retrospring.net/@csmcookbook/a/109703352028981583
hi!!! could i know why the zine is limited to 18 and older?
As this is a for-profit zine, we ask that all contributors hold a PayPal through which we can pay them. PayPal's policies do not allow minors to hold accounts, which limits our age group to 18+ !!
