hi! Considering the apps extension, are results gonna come out like 2 weeks later from that new deadline or so? I think I'll be on a trip and not sure if I'm gonna have a stable internet connection so I wanted to have that in mind either to check or know if it's gonna match with my trip at all hehe thank you! (and sorry if it's too early to ask 😅)

If we made a change to our application form, do we need to message you? I wasn't sure if "edit your response" updated the initial form or submitted a new one but, if it did the latter, I wanted to make sure you reviewed the updated one when the time came😅

what exactly is the difference between the writer portfolio and the samples? can the writer portfolio just be a link to our ao3? or can the portfolio and the samples be the same
Hello! The samples are there to narrow down your best works out of all of your works, and if the mods want to see more of your work then that is when we'd view your whole portfolio! Your samples could just be picked from your portfolio. We hope this answered your question!

Hi! Since you extended apps, Will you be reviewing the apps that have already been submitted now or will you wait until after the new deadline? Bc if possible I’d probably like to add more new stuff to my portfolio/samples, especially some new csm stuff since I didn’t have any for the first deadline :’)

Hi, what do you mean by not allowing AU in FAQ? Does international traveling count as AU?
Hi there! Sorry for the late reply, but international traveling isn't counted as an AU! By AU, we meant non-canonical themes like fantasy, medieval, alien, etc! However, canon-adjacent themes like them traveling to international countries (ex. Italy or Korea) are definitely allowed! I hope this answered your question.

will not having csm pieces in your application greatly affect your chances of being accepted? I'm really interested in joining the zine, but I haven't had a lot of free time to draw csm stuff ever since I got into it:(
Hello there! No, it will not affect your chances at all! Having Chainsaw Man samples are encouraged, but it is not a requirement.

For writing submissions, can samples be excerpts from larger works?

Are proshippers allowed to participate if they follow the zine rules of keeping their piece platonic?
Hello! Apologies for the late reply. The zine is focused on the Hayakawa family & friends, so as long as they are willing to follow the zine guidelines, we'd encourage anyone to apply! The mods will not judge applicants based on what they do outside the zine, but based on the work that's submitted in their application. Kindly read through our application guidelines in our info doc as well to ensure that it is followed. That said, the mods will prioritize and do their best to ensure the safety of the contributors and closely monitor whatever happens within the zine. We hope this answered your question!

Could characters beyond the main three be in this?
Hello, yes! Characters besides the main three may be featured, but at least one of the main three (Denji, Power, or Aki) have to be in the same piece as well. That said, they should not be overshadowed by the featured character! We hope this answered your question.

Yes! Once the mods decide on the final contributor list, they will be contacted via email. If we aren't able to reach out via email, we will reach out through the social media link/s that they would provide in the application forms.
