hello pomme!! I saw that retrospring would be shutting down and I wanted to pass the message that you are one of my favourite artists of all times! you are a huge inspiration for my own art, as I adore how you work with composition, your usage of shapes and colors! I started following you a couple of years ago for your mahoyaku art, but I ended getting into other media you posted art of, like A3. it's always a delight to see your art on my timeline, i am always working forward to when you post! спасибо за ваше фанарт и другое искусство, я очень благодарен 🩵
oh my god you're the sweetest, thank you so much for your kind words 🥹 I'm always amazed when people say my art is an inspiration, but it makes me really really happy and gives inspiration for me work harder too and not give up on drawing 😢 thank you for enjoying my works, я люблю вас очень сильно!!!
Hello Pomme! I saw your brushes tweet and was interested to know how do you use the watercolour textures. Do you put them on before or after colouring? I always feel like my digital colouring are too bland and i love the way you colour and use textures sm ❤️ thank you for always sharing your art and inspiring!
i apologize if you’ve already answered this, but what brushes do you use to render? your art is so gorgeous and i hope you have a wonderful day!
I use a lot of them, but here are some! I need to update it but I keep putting it off 😢 https://x.com/pommeplisa/status/1651772181641146368?t=tLdQL0nqhG5J6Hr0K0Eq9A&s=19
pomme! do you plan on joining artfight this year?
I love all the different colors you use in your art, is there a color you'd say is your favorite, or one you end up using more than others?
Your art always feels super recognizable and unique to me, which makes me curious, are there any artists you'd say inspired and influenced your style a lot?
I don't know if it's even visible in my artstyle, but I really look up to shinkiro, haccan, ikusy... though I started my art journey mainly after watching soul eater, and fire emblem awakening/fates were my main interests some time ago, so it's possible yusuke kozaki's art played its role in my artstyle, I do admire his skills a lot esp in the composition department....
what are your thoughts on tsumuizu? I know you drew them once and it has lived in my head ever since
which is your fav mhyk country
hello! do u have any recent kitty episodes to share :3c in return i'll share that my family has been sending me fast forwarded videos following my outdoor cats around and one wags his tail a LOT as he walks... sped up he will fly away!!!!!
WAHHH he sounds so cute?!!? and I do have kitty episodes to share! maya is not the most talkative and affectionate cat, she enjoys her personal space and will let you pet her for just a couple of seconds before biting you (gently), she can purr, but only when she's in the mood to lay on top of someone (happens probably once a week or two) and purr a bit and then leave in max 10 mins. recently though she began purring a tiny bit more... especially at night when I leave my room to make tea and when I sit down she hangs out w me, and when I pet her she suddenly purrs?!;!? after almost five years with her, this is the first time she does it, and I'm def not her fav person in the house (meaning my older brother is her fav person), but it was still so cool!!! love my little gremlin child shes so precious
how do you come up with poses? i always seem to struggle with that... thank you!
sorry for late response I thought I replied to it but I didn't?!!? anyway, I kinda go like this in my head - think of a moment when the movement happens, like someone is making a particular dance move and you pause it and think of a specific pose that happens on that frame, if that makes sense? try to think not of a complete and finished move, not just someone sitting straight or standing, but a frame of the movement - someone turning around and waving a hand, someone shifting their weight to the side while sitting and listening to a conversation. I know it may sound hard, but for practice you can watch random videos of people doing really anything - talking, running, dancing, crying, etc. it can be in a movie, in a film, even observing people irl or just yourself! personally that's how I do stuff most of the time, I really enjoy observing people's movements and attitude, how they put their weight into movements. I also just project the feeling into the pose I wanna do - if the person is scared, their body will be tense, especially their shoulders/hands and face, if the person is happy, their body will be more open and their pose can be all over the place depending on their personality (a bubbly person could stretch their arms out and have a huge smile, a more reserved person could have a simple basic pose, but a bit more relaxed and comfortable if that makes sense). when it comes to interactions, think of what relationship the characters have - they may be coworkers, so they seem polite and friendly, but they're not exactly fully relaxed and throw their arms around each other, they respect each other's personal space. when it's a friend or a family, they could be hugging, but hugs can also be different - some are huge, strong and warm hugs, some are awkward hugs, some are comforting hugs. even someone grabbing someone else's hand can differ depending on the relationship the two have and a situation they're in - one can grip another's hand, another can take it gently, third can be hesitant, etc. I hope whatever I'm saying makes at least a bit of sense, but what I'm trying to say is that the smallest details of the person or persons can help you with the pose! their personality, their relationship, their past, you just grab a thing you want to focus on at the moment and go with it! I hope this helps you at least a bit
hello hope ure doing well!!! wanted to ask if u have any tips on selling art at art markets? i know the basics but i was wondering if there are any secret tips, also does fanart of more less known fandoms (a3 for example) sell well? (from your experience obv or if you've heard anything from other artists) tysm!! :D
hii Im fine, hope you're doing ok as well! it's a bit hard to answer since I just finished my 3rd art market ever and I'm still figuring out everything (from small things like what items to bring, how to pack/transfer my merch, table layout etc, to bigger things like manufacturers, how much merch to print/bring etc), and if there are any secret tips for sales - I'd gladly like to know them myself sjxnwkcj, and as for fandoms, it really depends on what's popular where you live! for example I thought frieren would be more popular here since I see it online (on twt) a lot, while here a lot of people told me I'm the only one selling frieren merch, and they themselves were expecting it to be more popular? and same would go with a3, somewhere it's a bit more well known, here it's not known at all I'd say? of course there are fans, but when you go into an art market, chances of meeting an a3 fan are almost nonexistent, and a lot of people come up to the table and ask what fandom it is or if those are ocs (but it seems to be a bit of a better case with mhyk) it's a bit discouraging to table with non popular fandom merch, but I still do it bc I'm obsessed with said fandom 😤 sorry if it's no help at all, I'm a newbie myself 😖
POMME...!!!! Do you have favorite seiyuus...
What flower would you eat and why?
You should make a coloring tutorial I love your art waaaa
