Do you ever "feel bad" for objects with faces (plush toys, dolls, figurines, w/e) when you see them being thrown out?

Everyone thought about Toy Story but I'm reminded of Annabelle.

I trawled through my memories to remember an occasion where dolls were being thrown out but I couldn't find anything. I guess as an adult I haven't experienced such feelings for inanimate objects with faces.

Once there was a little giraffe at my aunt's/grandmother's house with moving parts inside.. it wouldn't work right, so I tried fixing it and I accidentally broke its neck. I sillily felt guilty about that for a long time. =P

A farmer not far from me (in Scotland) made a huge Sean the Sheep out of bales of hay, black and white polythene sheets, and other bits. He’s sitting in a field at the side of the road. It was terribly windy a couple of weeks ago and he lost an eye during the night. I want to cry every time I drive past him.

Yes. When a pet-toy or doll is with a person long enough the toy shares a bit with the person. Especially when the toy is loved and was a friend.
