What do you think about trigger warnings?

CW: my opinion

Not much, really. I think filters are the superior tool since it places the control over not being triggered right into your own hands instead of making it the entire world's resposibility. There's of course exceptions, most notable of which is being polite and respectful to your friends and loved ones.
Language is ever changing, so is the context surrounding it, and with everyone having a different path there's no way to make everyone happy by self-policing in public discussion.

Of course, real life can't be moderated by yourself with a simple blacklist of terms relating to things you definately don't want to witness, but I believe you can step around mentally taxing environments by being careful where you head into.
