What's your onion on the term "daddy issues"?

Seems like it's overused. Like something some douche would say about a girl after getting rejected by her "ugh she said she doesn't date guys that are unemployed and have a criminal record, she definitely has daddy issues"

I think they have real merit since my own "daddy issues" are why I struggle so much with my anger and trust, especially towards religious men.

When I was younger and more immature I may have liked girls with daddy issues. Now I know better

Mommy/Daddy/Parent issues are a real thing if you have non-ideal parents, which is more likely than you think because nobody ever is perfect, and I hope for goodness sake this isn't something that makes you special.

This, like most onions, makes me cry tears, lol. Usually this comes from men who feel they deserve the girl whom they accuse of this, but get rejected.

Pretty accurate in describing why certain people (women in particular) act out in a certain way. Usually in defiance to their parents' wishes (the dad being atypical of an authority figure in their life).
