What are your favorite remedies for relief when you have a cold/flu? My mom always hit me with that Vicks VapoRub, so now I do too

My father's family form addictions to Vicks bc they like to do drugs but they want to remain very sanctimonious about the drug use or abuse of others. They stick it rite up their nose for no reason, all day long, walk around smelling like VIcks 4evr, leaving vicks residue on all the light switches.

I take ibuprofen and delsym. I also find it makes me feel better to blame strangers for me getting sick in the first place. Have you ever heard of not blowing your sneezes into the air like you're throwing glitter in Pinterest photography, Cheryl?

Drink lots of water. Maybe take some of those cold remedy tablets - they stop the snot flowing quite so freely, and they do help you feel a bit brighter. Wait for it to go away.

I don't take anything for colds, I avoid taking medicines whenever possible. Haven't had the flu since I was a kid.. if that's what that was..

Haven't had a cold in ages, never had the flu. Lemon and other citrus fruits, having a good time; laughing, enjoying some great entertainment.

I grew up in a home where both doctors and medicine were treated with scorn and suspicion, at least that is my stated excuse for having a shot of habanero sauce or whatever I have handy to keep my pathways clear and waiting to get better. Or die. One of those for sure

Mine does too. She thinks it cures everything. But tbh Theraflu tea is amazing when I'm sick af. Warm fluids help breakup phlem so some chicken noodle soup is always good too.
