What's something you care about deeply that few other people seem to? (could be smth big or small)
Not that much deeply but I care about the RAM usage of the programs I usually use! Before upgrading my laptop, it had only 4 GB of RAM. This RAM limit caused me a lot of pain when doing my graduate project. About a year ago I decided to use command line apps as much as possible so that the RAM usage of my laptop decreases. Even though I upgraded my laptop's RAM to 8 GB, I still have the habit of checking the RAM usage of the apps I use! It's a weird obsession.
Based on what I see everyday, the majority of the population thinks texting and driving is totally fine.
They also think that if they crash into your car they can just take off. Over the years my cars have been hit and dinged like 5 times and every single time the person just took off. So basically people in general are pieces of shit and that really rustles my jimmies.
I care a lot about the way immigrants are treated in this country. It feels like it's the one demographic of people who get openly shit on and are constantly scapegoated because they're not a voting constituent. Yet (IMO) they're often the hardest working people and mostly contribute in ways I don't think native born people do.
When I am in a supermarket I check out which check out lane is served by the nicest cashier. Then I pick that lane, even if the queue is longer.
I care a lot about the decreasing quality of people's relationships... Now, this may sound weird, as people do generally care about having good relationships, but I don't think they get as upset about it as I do. I can't even explain it, I get genuinely upset when I think about deteriorating marriages and romantic relationships as a whole, especially if they lasted a long time. I've never been cheated on, but I get genuinely angry thinking about the number of relationships that fall apart as a result of disloyalty, and overall lack of respect and honour. It's almost as if on some level, I'm taking these failures personally. I've never been in love and I'm angry that with the current "hedonistic" state of the world, my chances of ever being in love and remaining in love are slim to none.
Using rational/analytical thinking to combat the scientism/physicalism/"skepticism"/rationalism/anti-spiritualism that so many people hold and believe is the natural result of rational/analytical thinking. I believe Iain McGilchrist and Rupert Sheldrake are also passionate about this. It's really rare, though. Most open-minded spiritualists aren't rational/analytical-thinking enough to tackle the problem and probably don't give it much thought anyway.
There is nothing that would fit.
