Hi! I was wondering which version of the western Zodiac this zine was following? The original version or the new one that includes Ophiuchus?

Are you sending out acceptances first and rejections afterwards?

hi may i know if the contributor results will be delayed? since the co-art mod changed?

Hello, thank you for your patience! We will try to get out all emails by the end of today, April 28th. The delays were not because of our co-art mods, but rather the large number of applicants we received. We apologize for the inconvenience!

hi may i know what the twins zodiac will be? since they're dependent of the players bday. will they be assigned randomly?

We will be assigning pitches based on chosen zodiac signs rather than character, so contributors may portray the twins under any sign as they will not have a canonical birthday. As a side note, we will prioritize pitches that put them in signs without too many other characters (such as Taurus, with just 2 characters!)

do we need to use the characters' real signs for the pieces? for example, Xiao can only be portrayed under the Aries sign, etc?

hello! what sort of writing are you looking for, as in how should the zodiac signs be incorporated? will characters of the same zodiac interacting count, or do characters have to actively explore their zodiacs?

Both of these scenarios are fine! As long as the first example demonstrates some of the traits of that zodiac and it is not just a completely random "x and y do stuff together." Our theme is quite flexible - we can't wait to see what our writers pitch!

What's the policy on writing application content with regards to violence? I have two pieces I'm torn between submitting as samples. I personally prefer the first sample, but it contains some non-graphic/not super detailed violence at the end. Is that acceptable, or would it be better to stick to the second, completely SFW sample? Thanks!

After discussion with our team, our guideline is that as long it’s PG-13 (not too graphic), it’s alright. Feel free to send in your first sample!

If I am unable to receive monetary compensation, will this make me less likely to be considered to be a contributor?

hi may i know if there will be guest artists? :O

Hello, for characters such as Dainsleif who haven't had their birthday revealed yet, would it be possible to headcanon a zodiac sign to them or is this strictly for canon zodiacs only? Thanks!

For characters such as Dainsleif or Scaramouche whose birthdays and playability are still unknown, we ask that contributors do not headcanon them a specific zodiac sign for our zine! We may assign neutral alignment or all-sign pieces for those characters. Unreleased characters will be allowed if their birthdays are released by the pitch deadline (May 7th).

hihi now i have an art question! so i'm new to taking the plunge into drawing backgrounds, what sort of thing are you looking for? would that include some or all of: buildings/architectural structures, landscape environments, intricate designs, or something minimalist/graphic? like does "art with a full background" need to have a city street depicted to be a background or could a more graphically designed piece also count as long as the focal character isn't in a white void? thank you!

We are expecting backgrounds to have visual depth and space, something to show a character is a part of a scene rather than placed on top of it. Whether this is more abstract or a full landscape/environment is up to you! Flat colors/graphic design assets and basic gradients/patterns do not count as full backgrounds.

hihi! can we apply for more than one role? if yes, could we get accepted for more than one role? thank you!

While you can apply for multiple roles, you will only be accepted in one! The only exception to this is if a fellow contributor drops out of the project - another contributor may be contacted to be a pinch hitter.

hi i was wondering if this zine would be a character's equivalent to a zodiac? i'm so sorry if it was written somewhere and i missed it ;v;

If you are referring to the character constellations, no. This zine is strictly for the 12 real-world Western Zodiac signs. As they're separate concepts, we won't be including character constellations. References to them are welcome but they will not be the focus!

hi!! is it okay if i can sign up for writer under parental guardian if i'm not yet 16 ❤️

No, sorry. We will be strictly adhering to our minimum age requirements. Thank you for your understanding.

Hey, I was wondering what you would consider to be a long poem? Like a page or word range would be nice for reference.

Anything longer than a page would be considered a long poem. We don't necessarily have a word count set in place due to formatting being a crucial part in the length and style of a poem. If you would like a number of lines to use as a basic guideline, 10 lines would be a good starting point for where a long poem begins and a short one ends.
