i dunno if they have a specific name but i think you mean the typing element of an IBM selectric! the engineering for the selectric is amazing but IMO nothing beats the versatility of dot matrix that can also do graphics
Inkjet or Laser? I was raised around the sweet ozone of copiers, so I personally lean laser.
as much as i hate getting my paws covered in toner dust fixing laser printers, i hate nothing more than the cost and waste of inkjet
