hi i have a question abt the jbw birthday fic collection : how member centric does it has to be ? like does the member celebration his bday has to strictly be the narrator/main character or can i have like multiple main characters or narrators ? bc i personally like to have multiple povs in my romance fics like more couple centric than specifically on one side of the couple
sorry for the long wait on this reply! as the fic collection is centered around member birthdays (more loosely, fics focusing on that member posted in honor of their birthday), we ask that the member in question have the majority of the focus in one way or another. this can be a fic about them from the perspective of another member, a fic where they are the POV narrator character, are part of the main ship of the work, etc. we aren't calculating any percentages here and hope that people post works to the collections with this spirit in mind. they basically don't have to be strictly the narrator of the fic, but the fic should revolve around them as a point of focus in one way or another.
in your specific example, if you mean that you like to shift between members a and b equally in the fic, and the fic is being posted for member b's birthday, that's totally fine! 🌺

hi! Im curious since i saw you post anonymous fic submissions on your page, how would the author go about that? Submitting through dms seems counter intuitive because that’s still not fully anonymous. Can you submit through retrospring?
in that case since it wasn't a fest submission, the author did dm it to us! this is an option if you are okay with that level of anonymity, but submitting them through retrospring is also possible. we ask you to include the link, title, pairing, any relevant content warnings...basically the same things you'd see on any promo tweet. for aesthetics you can also include a photo link or two you'd like to include. also keep in mind that fics are subject to mod approval before promotion; this disclaimer is included as some fics are posted anonymously due to extreme subject matter which would go through a vetting process before being promoted by the account. 🌺
also: since retrospring notifications are spotty (a.k.a. we don't get any), i'm (🌺) personally going to try and go through the inbox one a week on the weekend to take a manual look around. if your fic isn't posted within a week, you can send another message to poke us.

As an author who is receiving anonymous hate—Is there any way for the community to help? If not to me personally, simply to spread the word that this is happening to some authors in the fandom. I've even wondered if I should abandon and delete my fics.

answering this on a personal level, i’m sorry you’re going through this. we have renounced such behaviour officially as a base and do not stand for harassment. unfortunately, anonymous forms of communication will always be a slippery slope in the sense that people can easily hide behind anonymity to be unnecessarily cruel and there isn’t a lot that can be done about it. there are two routes i’d suggest here really: 1) stepping back and turning off anon, as another layer of protection 2) blocking by ip address — the second i find is especially effective as you’ll find a lot of anon hate often comes from the same few people with too much time to spare

though this account is primarily for written fic we would retweet if asked in the past. seeing as there is an account dedicated to retweeting socmed au’s now however socmed au’s can now be promo-ed through @jebewonaus!

just out of total curiousity, i just wanted to ask how many admins are handling the account. you always seemed so organised so i'm a bit curious.
glad you think so! we recently reorganised and took on 2 more admins so there are 5 of us that deal with general matters ie planning/organising/ graphics etc. but you may see other helper mods from time to time responding to inquiries on the server! they also help us rt fic so notifs don’t get missed

Hi! I'm not sure if this is intentional but when I try to search for @jbwfic tweets in the search function on twitter nothing shows up! Like if I type "from:jbwfic" it says that there are no tweets. I was searching for an old post of yours and the only way was to scroll down the profile 😭 I'm not sure if there is something wrong on my end but please let me know!

Actually, I’ve found some of her tweets that prove she’s still in High School. Even one from 5 hours ago, talking about a senior quote. That only happens in High School. You will see many tweets about AP and ACT scores on her twitter to, from just this year or last year. In America, those are only taken in High School, which is under the age of 18. Now she is claiming to be 23.
