hello again! okay so ngl to you, you've kinda made me want to write a chapter detailing some of these events (the part where hyunjung "realizes" and sets up the arrangement with juyeon) BUT i am known to bite off more than i can chew so let me tease it for you a little bit, in case i don't actually write anything lol

so hyunjung and soobin have a crazy, close, one might say dependent, friendship. they've always been close and their dynamic has always been a particular one -- note: soobin saying it was the first time hyunjung Ever turned her back on her -- that they don't actually realize how attached to one another they are. hyunjung eventually begins to question some things, but as you know she struggles to accept her feelings at first. in walks juyeon who sort of demystifies the whole thing (being gay is okay!) and that's how hyunjung's road towards acceptance begins

so yes, hyunjung had feelings for soobin even before juyeon. and yes, when soobin finds out, their arrangement was already set so it was not the first time -- they had been doing it for a little bit by that point

now for the next question, and this one is pretty simple for me, No hyunjung would not have told soobin. maybe eventually, after some time had passed and she had her thoughts more or less organized, then maybe. but again, she's sort of freaked out by the whole thing and specially she's afraid soobin will know it's Her and just some girl she likes. because what would that mean for them? 😟

for the next question, this is something i feel like i said (?) when someone commented on DoG before: soobin has 0, and i mean that -- none, nada, zip -- CONSCIOUS romantic thoughts when it comes to hyunjung. she's very possessive, so yeah the whole jealousy thing is a pretty big thing with soobin, but never in a million years is she doing anything (consciously) motivated by any romantic feelings. as far as soobin thinks, and she's clearly not thinking much lol, hyunjung is solely her bff. soobin's case is a little different because, although she acts the way she does towards hyunjung, it is the added physical aspect of their relationship that makes her realize things. like when her brother's friend is talking about hyunjung being hot. soobin has genuinely never even given that thought any consideration -- why would she? she does, however, begin to feel a little confused when they start kissing (and then the other stuff). she's kinda like,, hold on 😳

soobin and sojung aren't faking it btw. they genuinely do bicker like they're two old ladies but, deep down, they care for each other. they just... show it in a very strange manner. like they have to be mean to each other or they'll die

for the last question, i'm afraid i have a less than positive answer for you. dawon was a sneak, basically. i was paying hommage to manusinistra, who made me fall for dawon in the first place, so i kinda just added those 3 paragraphs (i am a writer for the people lmao if you ask me to add a certain character/scene, chances are i will do it). so no, there are no plans to elaborate on eunwon (sorry 💔)

hello 😊 thank you for reading and even sending me this (and saying you love DoG!) it means a lot!! you won’t like this answer lmao but there really isn’t like a specific major. okay so obviously the whole thing isn’t too realistic and in my country there’s not even the concept of, for example, dorming at your college lmao so i did just make a couple of things up for DoG, generally speaking, though some things i based on /my/ reality and other things are just what i see(?) in movies. they’re all arts majors but think of it as like a very General, very wide thing. like you can do music and you can do song writing and you can do acting (which hyunjung does, but soobin does not. that part i planned lol though hyunjung and juyeon took acting — together —, soobin has not and she no plans to either). it is sort of irrelevant to the story in the sense that i won’t have them graduate or something like that, i kinda just needed a background??? of sorts. like i needed them to fit somewhere. but yeah, sometimes it matters if you think about how hyunjung and juyeon literally meet in class. that’s relevant!! i have not thought a lot about this, i will be honest. but i can discuss it with anyone who wants to talk about it!! i would say (not set in stone btw so definitely open to other opinions), hyunjung is more of a practical girl? like if there was a singing class or a class to learn an instrument, she would take those. like 100%. soobin, however, she is more interested in the theoretical aspect of things. like how does an instrument work. how does one write songs/melodies/lyrics/whatever. she would be the type to take a class on the classics like fucking mozart and beethoven and stuff like that, meanwhile hyunjung kinda just wants to act and sing and all that. juyeon is originally the smartest out of them all so she wants to do everything — and she does so successfully and with little effort btw so if she’s ever at the library, just know she’s not studying. no, she already knows everything she needs to know. she’s there to pick up girls. some women (juyeon) are just that smart. sojung does not particularly excel at anything lol but she is sort of like soobin. they’re interested in the How Does This Work aspect of things. so you can think of it this way — they Know each other. like yes, sojung is soobin’s bestie’s roommate but the two of them have also seen each other a bunch of times because they essentially took the same classes. okay kinda went on a dissertation here when really only like 20% of what i just wrote was, effectively, planned. do let me know if you’re satisfied with this answer and thanks again for reading 🥹❤️

can you tell i’ve had the time to obsess over it? 😭 oh but i am sooooo !!! no because this could even fit the “it bothers me that dayoung is trying to move on” idea (but then it would somehow end up being similar to DoG seolbin where they like each other but they are unaware. only exy would know so i guess not quite?) i am still very new to angst so rather than having it be 100% angst it would probably be taking a comedic approach tho so 🤡 Anyway last time i tried to write i stopped before i even hit 1k words. i mean, i hit a wall pretty fast so we’ll see how it goes this time around. all i can say is i am pretty excited about it, i think the idea is definitely very slay
