Did either wife ever jump on the bed as a child, or as an adult quite possibly.

I suppose everyone used to jump on the bed at some point of their life and so did they. But like most people they grew out of it very early.
I'd say Béatrice grew out of it even earlier than most people, while Isabelle had to break one of the support beams of her bed to get the message
