I really feel like it hits close to home and makes a lot more sense considering how their lives played out. I remember watching a fun reel about it and it was just so sweet and nice, like, I can't explain it but it just resonates me in a way. Kaveh definitely masks a lot, and only does the mask slip bit by bit with Alhaitham (and eventually with Tighnari and Cyno n the rest of his friends) but Alhaitham was always the first to see a side of Kaveh, the deepest parts of Kaveh, the parts where kaveh has yet to learn. The experienced may vary and such, but still- GOD, I love them... how they navigate through life, it was difficult for kaveh to just put the mask down. Not realizing he was masking the whole time. And Alhaitham, whom never needed to mask, able to navigate through his own life through his own rules to make life more manageable, giving his own insights to Kaveh who finally gets his diagnosis.

Guhh, it's hard to explain. Hence I love them. I love this idea <:] they mean the world to me
