hi im back again to expand more on the Frozen 2 idea but with more angst actually hehe
so what if Boothill was both the spirit and Anna? that kind of opens up a bit more ideas…(ARGENTI AND BOOTHILL WILL NOT BE SIBLINGS THO they can be childhood best friends or oooo even a bodyguard situation idk)
for instance, it could be a Furina or even Xuyei situation where Anna!Boothill is a cyborg that holds a piece of Emantor of Beauty Boothill’s spirit or something, so not only does Argenti have to collect all the element spirits or whatnot he also has to collect Anna!Boothill’s. But that would….kind of kill Anna!Boothill, the one he’s known the longest, before Argenti knew he was Idrila. So “Show Yourself” still happens but the process is still incomplete, and while he knows he’s Idrila he can’t be with Emanator!Boothill, they just pass through one another if they try to hug.
This means that in the outside world, Argenti is perceived as dead because in their time he has been gone for hours. Anna!Boothill finds his armor on the ground, and assumes he is dead.
“The Next Right Thing” happens, because poor guy is fucking grieving. I like Benjamin Callin’s male cover so if I could choose I would pick that one
But this leaves us with two/three VERY different ending options.
1: Anna!Boothill, in his grief, can’t carry on. Essentially he powers down forever and Argenti is able to be with Emanator!Boothill, while carrying the weight that Anna!Boothill is dead. But there could also be a scene where Anna!Boothill, now fully with Emanator!Boothill, gives Argenti his last words. So they’re kind of together? Happily ever after question mark??
2: Argenti leaves Emanator!Boothill. Of course, Argenti has to forget that he is an Aeon in order for this to happen. But Argenti wants to be with Anna!Boothill…because that’s the only piece of Boothill he really is familiar with. He is a PERSON to him, despite being mostly cyborg. Emanator!Boothill accepts this. “As long as you’re with a piece of me, I can be happy.” Happily ever after, Argenti and Anna!Boothill are together, they forget the Island of Beauty and leave the other spirits of Boothill behind.
3: Argenti refuses Emantor!Boothill’s offer, but when he gets out of the cave spirit area he finds that Anna!Boothill is powered off forever. NO HAPPY ENDING HEHEHEH but also kinda unsatisfying :/
