The domesticity of practically living together, of seodore cooking for sanemitsu and being around often enough to forget his cigarettes in sanemitsu's apartment. The familiarity, the fact that Seo definitely has a key, the comfort in sharing a space with someone you care about and trusting them to look out for you and your family,,
it's about the parallels. The narrative foils. Seodore wanting to rewrite it and Sanemitsu deciding that he can't. The Character and the Writer. Their stories are intertwined,, Both reject their factors in some way (SEOdore over Theodore, Sanemitsu using Isoi over Harada and on some level resisting being a 'Harada'. something something factor theory there's something there). They're two old men who can find solace in each other,, they understand each other and "I’ve decided to take your hand, Seodore" drives me INSANE.
Also the entire "Let's die together, Seodore" scene KILLS ME. I EXPLODE. Something something kinda gay to die together with another man. I have so many thoughts,,, it's about dooming these versions of yourselves to save someone you value more than everything and to rewrite the narrative. They are so intertwined in the narrative it drives me insane.
