hi! so this zine is a free+digital zine with honestly not that big of a reach, is there a need for you to request for BSD samples/make it compulsory? i would like to apply but i dont have recent BSD pieces isnt that making it harder for yourselves too?
Hello there! Thank you so much for the ask. Just for clarification - only writers are asked to provide a BSD-related sample just to confirm how familiar the writer is with the canon/characterization. And don't worry about making it harder for ourselves too! We have allotted enough time to read through all applications. 🙂

Hi! So, the applicant guidelines for artists ask for 3 samples, AND a portfolio of 6+ pieces, while the form asks for a single folder with 3-6 pieces. Which one is it?
Hello anon!! We're so sorry for the confusion! The guidelines have been simplified as such for artists/merch artists/cosplayers/etc :
"Please provide at 3 samples that best represent the art style you would like to bring to the zine. You can provide additional samples or WIPs or studies in your portfolio if you wish."
We simply ask that all samples be linked to us in one convenient portfolio location such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. Please make sure all of your links are publicly accessible and not private/by request only to view.

Yes you can!! You may not get both positions that you are planning to apply for but we are open to considering it!

Yes! We are a welcoming zine that is anti harassment! No character hate or ship hate will be allowed or tolerated. We will also be reviewing applicant's SOLELY based on their submitted portfolios. What content applicants make or consume outside of the zine will not be taken into account.

Hi! There is a discrepancy in requirements for sample submissions. General guidelines says a BSD piece is not mandatory, artist and crafter say one should be, and writer guideline says that one must be. Which one is it? Or is it different depending on the role?
Hi!! I'm so sorry for the inconsistencies! The guidelines have been revised such that artists/cosplays/crafters are recommended to provide at least one Bungo-related piece but it is not required. We do however want to still require one BSD related writing sample from writers.
