How did you feel about the unjust censorship of Cyanotype Daydream and as a result, turned the dev team into sellouts?

How did you come to work for Laplacian? Did you send them a cold email? Were they hiring? Also, did you work onsite or remote?
Also, thanks for translating Cyanotype Daydream. No matter what other people say, to me, you'll always be a hero.
First, sorry to keep you waiting for a week for this answer lol. Thank you for those kind words. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. As for your question, it's a long story. I'll say that I was in contact with them since way before cyanotype, and things ended up with me working with them to translate it. No really emails or hiring or anything like that, and I worked remote, like always.

A few months ago I asked you for tips on how to get into the industry as someone very passionate and wanting to do localization editing. That led me to try and join fan projects and while that was a fruitful experience, those fell through before completion. Despite little to no proper experience someone did take a chance on me and I have been editing a few light novels officially. So thank you for your answer as it did help me. I hope things are well for you.
I'm very happy to hear my advice helped a little bit. I think it's a little miracle that any project gets completed, official or otherwise! I'm glad you found the willpower to try and get the ball rolling. Always remember, the reward for a work well done is usually more work! And I'm fine, thank you! Any tips for trying to get into the industry?
First of all, sorry for not seeing the message earlier. To be honest getting into the industry involved luck and meeting the right people at the same time. While I can't say that all of my experience translating (scanlating) and having something to show for myself didn't help, the opportunity coming at all was a blessing that I happened to grasp thanks to the kindness of others and managed to turn it into a career. What I recommend is to translate, even if isn't quite official, keep translating. Keep trying to meet new people, gaining experience, and a chance will come at some point. At least for me it took time, a lot of work, and much effort on my part to keep improving myself, which is a process I don't think will ever end. I know it might sound a little bit disingenuous to tell people to just keep at it, but the only way I've known was to do the thing and hope that the reward for a good job is more work coming my way. I hope my answer wasn't completely useless.
