What's a spot artist?
A spot artist is an artist who works with a writer to create a story with art! In our zine, spot artists will be creating 1-2 artworks to accompany a writer's fic.
Is it ok if DeviantArt could be a portfolio reference ? Or do you prefer something like google doc ?
Hello! DeviantArt is totally fine, as is google drive, or even AO3!
Hi! I saw from another question/answer that this is a ‘sign-up’ zine… does that mean that everyone who signs up gets to participate? Since two samples are required to sign up, I was wondering if that means creators will still be judged on the quality of their work before being accepted?
Hello! Yes, that's right! We aim to accept everyone who signs up; however, we don't want to overwhelm our mods, either, so we might need to close sign ups early. The portfolio requirement is not there for our mods to judge your work, rather, so we can get a sense of your style and make sure the work you end up doing fits best with you! They also mimic the style of a "typical" application, which allows for some practice for those who are less experienced with zines.
Can we sign up if a mod has us blocked. . .? Or if we’ve had a bad experience with them?
Could I choose which mod I work with?
There are no restrictions to sign ups, outside of evidence of blatant hateful behaviour or anything along those lines. There are rules within the zine server itself, however, so anyone signing up—please make sure to pay attention to those!
Does "sign-up zine" mean that anybody can create fanwork for the zine?
Hello! Yes, that is our goal with this zine! By having it be sign up, we eliminate the anxiety and competitiveness of a typical zine application. We hope to be able to invite every creator who submits a sign-up!
Are you doing shipping in the zine or just Bell-mere centric?
Hello, anon! In the main zine, we will be focusing on Bell-mère centric content. SFW and platonic relationships. If our IC & contributors show interest, we will have an add-on zine with shipping and NSFW content!
