Less advice more showing how I do it (twitter pic) cause I'm not an expert lol. Two things I keep in mind are a sense of weight and the rest of the body. The face rests on top so things like the arms will affect how the face is resting

Also I like to keep it fairly loose and with implied lines. I don't like each chin being so explicitly defined, so some space in between lines looks nicer to me
