I thought of putting this on priv, but I'm gonna be normal and put it into the public instead 💅🏻
The thing about Ruthven is that his haircut is one of his two most recognized features (the other one being his eyes); meaning that even in this concept he's VERY easily recognized. I constantly notice how his eyes don't seem to be as "special" (?) as they are now, and... I feel like the lashes got toned down, too? (we were robbed, honestly...). Another thing I can't unsee how he's definitely not as buff as he ended up to be, even though in canon he went from buff and bulky to... very much less buff and bulky. Like yeah he's still not slim but seeing the concept of him being at MAX half of his actual size.... man crazy. The things trauma makes a man go through amirite lmfao
It's definitely very interesting how this concept isn't even THAT different than the one MochiJun ended up with. It definitely feels like she knew where she wanted to go with him, and I'm genuinely curious about the entire process of designing him,, especially when it comes to his eyes tbh

Vani is normally just a trapeze artist but hes the only one slinder enough to be the assistant in ruthvens knife throwing :3
I promise I was trying to be normal, but my mind immediately went down the way that Ruthven ""accidentally"" throws the knifes extremely closely, so close that it's really BARELY missing Vanitas, and. It's a huge turn on for Vanitas. There's no denying in that, otherwise he wouldn't even tease Ruthven and even wiggle around just to get that bonus thrill and adrenaline

I know you said that you're not much of a shipper, but do you still have ships you rly do like? Do you have a top 5? (not just vnc, other fandoms as well)
The only ships I /personally/ genuinely enjoy with enough knowledge of the franchise are FuriTao and, as funny as it is, RuthVani. I'm generally much more of a platonic person and before I see a ship I mostly see a duality. There might not be a huge difference for others between just a duality and a straight up ship but,, for me its very different LMFAO
