rrrrrrrrr saints row is so good… the first two games are literal masterpieces the last 4 are..okay. the reboot gets a lot of hate. it has a short storyline and i do wish it was longer but it’s still pretty good. now in comparison to what it’s supposed to be mirroring? it’s kind of trash since it’s mirroring a game about hardened gang members. after all, the reboots most emotional scene is where one of the main characters loses her project car. meanwhile in saints row 2, you have to save your best friend from dying while he’s being dragged behind a car. in the end you have to end up killing him yourself because its the most painful way out. the reboot scene was an “oh no” moment for me. losing Carlos made me cry. The new game lacks depth, but it has some interesting points. the character customization is super detailed, and the game has some amazing graphics. my only issue is that it lacks depth and, while trying to appeal to everyone, it ended up appealing to no one because it became so skewed. it tried to keep its original “cool gangster” style while also appealing to the views of modern society, which is kind of where it went wrong. it ended up becoming a game where excessive cussing was its main humor, and many people criticize it for being too “woke”. instead of joining a gang because you’re in a bad area and need to protect what’s yours, you turn to crime to, and I quote, “pay your student loans”. it kind of turned the entire cast into these millennials who are just bad copies of the original cast, especially because I can see who they’re based off of in the original cast. i think it’s nice that each of the gang leaders comes from their own gang, just roommates who all had conflicting views before they realized that they in fact all had one ideal in mind. but i just wish it had kept its wit. and Johnny Gat.
