What software was used to make the cries of the new mons and how exactly were they made? I would like to get into making my own, and i find this game to be a good example to learn from, it captures the feeling of gen 3 cries really well and hoped to get a bit of insight on how they were made :]

The cries were sequenced in FL Studio, but any DAW or sequencer capable of playing external sounds would do. For most cases, cries consisted of playing a short melody or note pattern over two synths in unison, one having its pitch offset a little for a slightly dissonant sound. Sounds emulating that of 8-bit noise were also used depending on the monster.
Audacity was then used to provide minor touches (truncating, volume editing, and reducing lower end frequencies) before exporting the sounds and converting them to PCM 8-bit format with Awave Studio.
