I don't know what kind of system you're referring to, so I can't answer very well, but if it's not particularly a music system, I wouldn't say it's cringe exactly, but I'll be brutally honest instead of unconditionally positive: it's kind of small-pond mentality (for lack of a better term) to name it after an unrelated interest.

I know there's one person on here who thinks of themselves as a "system" (I guess it's some kind of psychiatric condition?). If that's you and that's what you're referring to, I guess it's more okay because it's more of a personal thing rather than a product, and because your hobbies and interests are not exactly separate from you and hence are not separate from the "system."

Or if your system is your computer or something, that's also pretty personal...I myself have named one of my computers 'RIGORMORTIS' for no particular reason. =P
