Funny story, I remember when I was younger (like, 10 years ago at this point, damn), I inadvertently drew a made up fat anthro reptile character on my 3ds (without any prior knowledge of fat furs on the internet) but inexplicably felt some weird shame for it… fast forward a few years and I realize that I’m not the only one who has this weird obsession! Of course I didn’t actually get involved with the online community until a few years ago. and when I needed a character I figured “why not make another fat lizard?”
