I want to apply for Merch artists but noticed in guidelines it says merch applications need one sample needs to be a merch design. But it also says don't need to have produced merch to apply? I'm confused- Do we need to create a merch piece specifically for our application then?

You don’t need to have physical merch samples to apply, but you do need a sample design that could be used for digital merch
