What are your inspirations for writing lliira? :0
Admittedly, she started out as a bit of a sona. So, not exactly a whole lot of inspiration in regards to her, to be honest. Even now as she's been branching off into her own entity, there's still remnants of her not wholly separate from the aspect sona-hood that sort of prevents the concept of inspiration from really taking route.
Other characters I have have much grander meta backstories & inspirations, but not really for Iliira. T^T
I noticed lliira's a bard, what's her songs usually composed of? If she doesnt sing what are tales she usually tells? :0
As if she'll ever show anyone outside her EXTRA closest friend group the songs she writes! But Iliira tends to write about a lot of things, mostly things in the spur of the moment. Usually stuff regarding emotion (vent songs for DAYS), various beautiful things she finds in nature and the heaps of metaphor she can piece together from them, or songs that are little more than nonsense sounds that simply sound nice/pseudo-intellectual when strung together. (Don't ask about her secret cache of love poems or else you'll find your shoes stuffed with the Eorzean equivalent of Legos.)
Most often, she likes to write and narrate stories. She's got a fondness for fiction and surrealism, but oftentimes can be found writing in a style that might be considered somewhat more modern-ish for her time. Like fully-fleshing out her characters and trying to avoid cliches, treating the topic of epics like chapter books and stuff like that. On the side, she's working on an ethnography about Amaurot and the Ancients in order to fulfill her promise to Emet-Selch. Obviously, this will be a work of non-fiction, so she's trying her damndest not to spin it with too much sentimentality and bias.
