If by seen bad scenes you mean something I just don’t enjoy seeing, I just don’t watch them—why would I focus on that when there are so many other things around?

If by ‘bad’ you mean unsafe, also no! Most people who attend the party I go to are people who are regulars, so they know the rules, and DM’s put a stop to anything before it could get too bad.

If in terms of scene partners not clicking, I’m assuming you’re talking about pick up play (kinda like an impromptu scene)? In that case it cannn be a gamble, especially if you don’t know the person super well kink-wise. But also I find that if you keep communication straightforward, it can be easy to find out if you’re on the same page. From there it’s just a matter of personal chemistry.

Even then dude, I find people in the community have quite different attitudes towards kink and/or sex. Like it’s so unserious sometimes, so if it’s not working out just laugh it off and use it as a funny story to tell.

It’s all normal anxieties to have though! I had them too, but I find play parties really aren’t as intimidating as you think they are :)
