I am actually very open about my diagnosis, I kind of saw it coming due to my family history and it’s not really something I will be able to change so I’ve kind of just accepted it yk? A little background though I have heard voices and seen people since I was little and never got checked out or anything it was honestly terrifying but my mom always just told me to pray to make it go away thinking it was demons or something ig. It got worse as I got older to the point where I couldn’t leave my house or even my room because I was so paranoid and wrapped up in my head. I wasn’t sleeping,showering, or even eating. my mom got so worried so she forced me to go see someone right away, that's when I was diagnosed a little over a year ago I believe. After I was diagnosed I was institutionalized for a little while until I got on a medication that worked for me, just to keep me safe and stuff.
