There's a lot of background, but the basis is that they were friends but Duskpaw was insecure, unaware that he was gay, and wanted to look all cool and adult. Duskpaw's inserts himself into a conversation between some young warriors talking about their hook ups that he also gets tail, in fact he gets Parchclan tail. None of them believe him and tease him. So next time they meet, he implies that he wants to get some action with her the next time, but she's a Parchclan cat and sex ed is pretty much nonexistent until you're permitted to reproduce so she didn't catch that. Unknown to both of them, they're being watched.

Anyway Duskpaw is caught trying to sneak out of camp that night and is a no show. Unfortunately for Honey their spy gets a group of friends together and she meets them instead of Duskpaw. Even more unfortunately for Honey she's also in heat at that time. Honey is dumped over the Parchclan border after they're done with her and exiled later.
