For writer samples for apps, can we go slightly over the word count? Or does each piece/snippet absolutely have to be under 3k? One of my samples is about 200 words over.
That should be fine! 200 words over isn't too much

Is this normal and your form does not have conformation emails, or i should resend mine?

hi, i've never done a zine before but i'm very excited to apply to this one! that said, i was confused by something in the app- what exactly is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is someone who would possibly be accepted with little to no notice if a contributor has to drop out. Think of it like being on call back up!

Hi! Yes yes. I've just been super swamped and hadn't had the moment to put together rather cute looking graphics for everyone. Hopefully I can get those out this week <3 I appreciate everyones patience. Head mod (me) has already been announced on the page!

Roughly! Like many things its subject to change but here's a rough estimate
~25 page artists
~5 writers and spot artists
~5 comic artists
~5 merch artists
~2 cosplayers
~2 Chefs

if someone makes dark content unrelated to this zine, will they be accepted and welcome so long as the content made for the zine itself matches the standards/qualifications and rating? /genuine question, not wishing to stir anything
Yes! Everyone's definition of dark content is very different so I wouldn't worry too much. As long as your account is marked that you post that content so anyone checking out your page can avoid any possible triggers. As long as you meet all the guidelines you're more than welcome to apply!

Maybe a stupid question, but have to clarify "Applicant’s must have a SFW page to be credited by" means artist without sfw pages just won't be credited or having sfw page is necessary for application?
Since the zine will be SFW and purchasable for all ages we think it's in the everyone's best interest that anyone applying uses a SFW account. That being said as I've thought about it, if an applicat doesn't have a strictly SFW account we'd ask that applicants put some where in their bio that their account contains NSFW in some fashion. Even "minors dni" would be acceptable! Just important to have that net so that someone who wishes to check out an artist doesn't get hit with things when they're underage. I hope this makes sense!

What is the general direction when it comes to characters headcanoned as transfem but are not canonically so (that we know of)
Case by case basis! We'd love to hear what you're thinking! When applying, this would be something good to talk about in your pitch. Obviously our zine is absolutely LGBT friendly so ideas like this are welcome. That being said we still do want to draw a bit of a line with masc presenting characters. The reason I say case by case is because I believe some of the "masc" or "femme" presenting characters sit in a "gray" area for some people. So I'd love to see what you're thinking!

Hi! Just to be super safe: the list of female characters you provided didn't list Luida, I think, so I wanted to confirm we're good to include her, Rosa, and some possibly unnamed or named once characters like the lady that helps Milly and Meryl get to Jessica's escape pod, or Rem's crew colleague in the manga, the ladies we see in July flashbacks, etc.
Hello! I just noticed that too...how silly. To give a good basis, we put together a (rough) list of characters we are thinking about! Obviously if an applicant has an idea for a character not listed, we'd have them suggest said idea in their pitch when applying to take a look at! Think of this base as a starting list that can be built off of.

hi there! will the zine mods/schedule be public information once the interest check is launched?
Hello! For the schedule, we plan to announce that after the interest check concludes. That way we can see what numbers we are working with and set a rough timeline. Mods will be announced either during or after we haven't fully decided! Certainly before applicantions open. That being said we do want to reiterate our 0 tolerance for harassment so we ask our mods be treated with respect!
