hiya! i really really love your fics, BTWOH affected me on a very deep personal level (complimentary) and i’m loving your mizuki fic too. i was wondering if you had any tips for writing longer multichapter fics? stuff like outlining and planning, for example. i’m looking into writing one but i don’t really know how to get started 🥲 have a nice day!!

In terms of writing longer stuff... I'll be upfront that I have difficulty outlining stuff on paper (ADHD goes brrrrrr and if I write it down it's more likely that I'll forget it somehow) but I absolutely plan ahead in my head. Whether on paper or in your brain, I think the key is proper buildup and payoff - where does the story start and where does it go? What are the big, dramatic, culminating moments you're working towards? How do you get from A to B at a good pace that stays interesting? Balancing it all is tricky, but as long as you have a destination in mind to work towards and build around, I think that's the most important thing.
