re answering questions and IR Discord :
honestly , and not to make you feel bad or anything - at this point in my life I've gotten pretty accustomed to being ignored / ghosted , etc.
and well , you can't really hear / know the other people's side of things so I can really say I'm some good person and they're just some bad person or something in these situations
and besides , I'm not actually like your friend or anything - I'm just a complete random online - a stranger and well-wisher
you don't owe me a thing
really, I just need to get better at summarizing my thoughts and having a balance in the things I say and share - less is more / keep it simple stupid - that sort of thing , I don't know
like I've said though , it has been nice writing to someone again , it's been a very long time , and most of all this has been fun - so thank you for that
in terms of the IR Discord , I used to have a Discord account
don't have any social media accounts at the moment anymore though
ha , don't know if that's another red or green flag from me
I've actually been meaning for a long time now to make a Twitter account and start befriending a lot of the people I already lurk across my various fandoms
never got around to it though because I'm obviously a weirdo and quite frankly a stalker at this point - and well , I wouldn't even know how to navigate through that and actually become friends with a person whom I already know a number of things about - I mean , do I ask and pretend I don't already know something about them ? that's just not the kind of person I am - and well , I wouldn't know how to say that I've been lurking on their accounts for quite some time without straight up sounding like some stalker or a secret serial killer or something - I mean , what else would they think and not that ?
I don't know man , I'm 25 years old now and making friends for me at my age is just hard
and yes , it's exactly what you're thinking as you're reading this message - ' this person is a fucking loser ' - and unfortunately I am , ha

oh , also , about Tumblr - they make cool and cute gifs - I even used to make a ton as well and also photo edits
but you will never catch me on Tumblr ever again unless I'm linked some isolated post to read or something
people like to debate on which social media is the most toxic - I'd say Tumblr - a lot of straight up nasty people on there across various fandoms
well , to be fair , this is my opinion from 2019 - 2020
haven't actually been on Tumblr in ages and so maybe it's gotten better since then ? I don't know
also , ha , see how I can essentially write an essay to a simple and short answer of yours ?

All social media sites go through peaks of toxicity and whatnot, so the easiest way to deal with that is to step back during those times and then come back and do your thing at a calmer time.
As for the being ghosted I won't assume you've misinterpreted your interactions with people online because only you and the other person know exactly what went on and if a friendship was formed or not, but as you've already seen with me not answering anything for 2 whole months, people simply disappear from online spaces for a variety of reasons, like getting busy with irl, health reasons, wanting to detach themselves from toxic spaces or like me, who fell into the danmei rabbit hole and ended up reading 17 novels in the span of two months, plus getting to work through some of my backlog on my queued games list. It's not personal, we're just not that attached to these spaces.
