Do you have any plans for your curse gojo/vessel Yuji au at all? (Though if not, I completely understand! Lord knows I’ve left several stories open ended due to shifting interests/adhd ruling my brain LOL)
I love your fics and your dedication and research into them. You have very intriguing plots and and way of writing the characters that manages to stay very true to them no matter the au/setting. I wish you had a discord server so that I had an excuse to pick your brain about au’s and head cannons !
Hi! First off, I love all your works! Your writing and the research you put in is so incredible!
I was just wondering if you would ever be interested in selling physical copies of your story Stumbling Backwards Into Winter again? Love the story so much but missed the chance to purchase last time around 😭
Aw, thank you very much! <3
I've been asked this question a few times, and I guess it would depend on interest if I were to do a second printing of the book. If it were to happen, I would take the opportunity to edit the mistakes I found in the two bonus chapters and probably add in the others or maybe the NSFW post-series piece. On the flip side, there wouldn't be any additional goodies to come with the second printing. Just the book. In addition to all this, I would need to ask my cover artist permission to do another release!
To summarize, it is possible, but I'm not prepared to release another round of preorders at the moment. :3 I do have a couple of other books in the works, including a full version of the Enshrined series, the Bound Together series, and a possible anthology print of a lot of my personal favorite SukuIta works.
I do
What are some of your fav Sukuita headcanons? 😖💖💕✨
Sukuna will take an opportunity to dress Yuji up in traditional wear, Heian specific if possible.
Sukuna is like a cat and Yuji tolerates him because he gives good cuddles.
Sukuna will serenade Yuji with poetry and half the time it works, half the time Yuji is confused or leaves him on read because he's still mad at him.
what app/website do you write your drafts on?
When was the last time you read something that had your heart racing?
I'm sorry to disappoint, but I'm honestly not sure? I'm pretty tame while reading most things, books or fics. Though, I will say that reading The Tale of the Peach Blossom Prince by ChumbalieWumbus on ao3 had me consistently on my toes as to what would happen next. I was very invested and in constant awe of this author's use of historical settings.
Do you accept commissions that take place in the same universe as a previous work?
How many prompts do you have right now and do you have drafts of them or are they just sitting around.
Oh God
Ok, so—I have:
5 Unpublished zine fics
3 In-progress zine fics
2 Exchange event fics (one is 90% done)
3 active ongoing long-fics on my personal ao3 I try to update semi-consistently. (With an update 80% done, planning to post tomorrow.)
Plus however many random prompt ideas I save to my personal discord channels to unearth later with varying degrees of outlines already in place. These are usually the one shots I post between long-fic updates as a palette cleanser.
._.
So, you know, the normal amount of drafts.
How would you distinguish Yuuji's varying mental states throughout the series? Like his questioning of why he has to be executed at the beginning, his cog mentality, and maybe wherever he is at right now? (If this makes sense!)
From personal interpretation, Yuji has always been a character who would put the lives of others before his own. He knew the risk of swallowing Sukuna's finger and did it anyway. He saved Megumi, then went on agreeing to carry the burden of Sukuna to ensure no one else got harmed. He could have floundered at the moment and curse the world, begging to be spared, but he doesn't. I admire that about him.
During the detention center arc, we see his determination to die his own way get tested, as he's put in a situation where he was about to die if Sukuna didn't step in. He then had to take his own life to save Megumi, again, dying prematurely to the fate he'd accepted for himself. This launches him into working harder to get stronger to ensure that he has some level of control over his death.
But during Shibuya... he loses that control again. He loses control over Sukuna, and comes to realize that he isn't powerful nor is it power that will define the control he has over himself or everyone else. Gojo is the strongest but he got sealed and people still died. Yuji is quite powerful, especially physically, but his friends keep dropping around him. He can't save everyone. Saving people can't be his goal anymore, it's fruitless as people will keep dying, so he needs to focus on killing curses. Focus on the cause of the problem. He's good for destruction, so let him destroy the things he hates the most.
Beyond that, if we go into manga territory, Yuji hasn't lost the spark to care. We see it when Megumi asks Yuji to save him, thus pulling him a bit out of his emotional rut. He's still self-sacrificial, as we can see when Yuji was more than willing to be killed by angel to free Gojo. And Yuji hasn't lost his will to help others as he tries to save those being attacked in the later half of the culling games, and vows to save Megumi again from Sukuna. I think this truly is an embodiment of his grandfather's dying words. Paraphrasing, but the idea of helping people, even if it's just one, ie. Megumi. And when it comes to Sukuna, Yuji was originally determined to take them both out with his execution. Now it seems Yuji is playing executioner or will have to reign the curse in, and whatever he's done during the time skip is in service to that. Sukuna was his original burden, it only makes sense that Yuji would do his damndest to see his fate through to the end.
I think the above thoughts came out a little messy, but all in all, watching this optimistic, hopeful, yet self-sacrificial character become someone willing to do anything to save others while also learning the desire to stay alive until his goal is complete. He continues to fight and get stronger to carry out his desires, and if he didn't have that drive to kill Sukuna and save Megumi, he would have given up a long time ago. The problem is that he still doesn't value is own life outside of what he can do with it in relation to others. He doesn't live for himself or see a future beyond this battle. That's heartbreaking to me.
Are you interested in the upcoming JJK Cursed Clash game?
Will you write more Yuuji and Geto fics? I love how you write Geto in your fics! Thank you for sharing your fics, ur updates are the only thing I look forward to in my inbox 😂
Q.Q Awwww <3
As for Yuji and Geto, I do have another GeIta fic that will be posted after the release of the Digital GoGeYu Anthology. As for Gen fics, I don't have any immediate plans for anything that focuses on the two specifically, but I do have Suguru making an appearance in a future update for an ongoing SukuIta fic... They two have grown on me, regardless of what kind of interactions they have. I'm sure I'll return to them again someday. :D
What aspect of writing tends to be the most time consuming for you? (characterization, research, difficult scenes etc.)
Descriptions. I spend so much time looking for the write word or synonyms of a word I've already used or just pulling hair out because the scene feels like it's far too short and needs more detail and care. Action scenes and NSFW scenes are what I suffer with the most, though as much as I love writing dialog since it comes quite naturally to me, any dialog scene with more than three characters is an absolute mess to plan. Too many voices.
Characterization is a case by case basis for me. Some characters are harder to write than others. (For me, Yuji and Satoru are pretty easy, but Megumi and Suguru don't.) As for research, it really depends on how easily I let myself get distracted by what I'm reading about. XD
You plan to write more stories of yuuji traveling through time?
Has any particular moment in the anime or manga make you go, "Oh, I want this ship" for any of your pairings? Or has everything been a sort of gradual build up?
SukuIta & GoYuu hit me like an isekai truck before I even finished season 1. (I wrote my first JJK fic before catching up with the manga, scandalous!) Literally the basement arc awakened so many things with me. And it was so hard because my Yuji-harem loving heart was awakening new ships each time a character spoke to him for more than a few words.
Ships such as ItaFushi/SukuItaFushi and a few other rarepairs grew on me over time, however. NaoIta was a surprising one, but I only enjoy it when it's one-sided and I'm bullying Naoya for fun. XD
Have you ever been inspired by random JJK artwork for your AUs?
Probably! Or rather, an idea comes to me and then someone else is sharing the same brain cell on my Twitter timeline XD
With all the art I see daily, I'm sure some of acts as indirect inspiration. If not for my ideas, than possibly the prompts sent to me by others. I do try to keep whatever I write to be unique enough with that Smail charm, however.
