Sorry, I'm not familiar with the zine format, and am a bit confused by the application process! Are the samples submitted on the application form to be considered for publishing in the zine? Or are they an audition for contributors who will then be tasked with producing new original content for the zine? And is it one edition, or a regularly published serial? Thanks.
Hello! The applications are closer to an audition for contributors who will be making new, original art or fics for the zine. The zine itself is a one edition.

Hello! We’re currently putting the finishing touches on our graphics for it, so they’ll be ready to be filled out and posted. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too long!
As for mods, you can find some of them (along with some guest contributors) in the list of people you follow. But to answer your question, @/sextechdream will be in charge of finances, production and shipping. He’s successfully run the Thunderous Zine (Rolan) and is also currently doing work on the Wyll zine!

Do you allow 3D-Rendering-Artists to contribute?
We are! However, due to copyright issues the 3D models cannot be taken from the game and will have to be 100% modelled by the artist themselves.

I'm sorry if I missed this answer somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it. For writers, how long is the final story expected to be? And in what format? (e.g. one-shot, multi-chapter, etc) Is it permissible to write about an ended romantic relationship between Gale and a former partner as the main "ship"?
Also, I have a writing sample that includes Mystra alongside god Gale - not in any romantic capacity, but existing in the same space, and she still is exerting some level of influence over him (cutting a deal to give him something he wants for some exchange of his power). I want to be sensitive to the mods/guidelines. Would that writing sample be breaking the guidelines?

Hello, and apologies for the belated response!
For writers, it’s a 1500 word maximum oneshot, as being physical does limit the amount of pages writing can occupy whilst still keeping the zine at a reasonable price.
As for your second question, we would only include such stories if the main ship gets back together at the end, as the focus of the zine is romance rather than past romances.
As for your sample, as long as it isn’t romantic it’s absolutely alright to include, and we thank you for checking in in regards to potential triggers surrounding the subject.

Oh yeah forgot to mention what about ships like "gale x the orb but now it's sentient and kinda sexy and maybe karsus" allowed?
I suppose I'm just asking if consensual / fluffy but wierd ass ships are allowed or if I'll get banished to the shadow realm for it, thanks

Also alright! As long as the ships are consensual (for the simple reason of keeping the zine a bit more lighthearted and preventing triggering the mod team) you can get as weird or as rare with the pairings you want to draw / write as you’d like.

I like ships like emperor/gale or Raphael/gale in aus but even with entirely romantic takes on these ships, its still controversial to some ppl. I'd figure I'd ask. Thanks

Hi! And those ships are absolutely alright! The only reason we’ve chosen not to feature Gale/Mystra centric pieces is the heavy in game implications of grooming and our desire to keep this zine on the more lighthearted side 💕

If you are doing merch, will the artists make merch of their Tavs/D!Urges x Gale or just general Gale stickers/keychains/pins/etc.?
Our merch will be digital only and has yet to be decided, but will likely be geared more towards Gale x canon ships!

Just want to drop in and say, hell yeah Galemancezine!! One thing I love about Gale/OC ships is how diverse the dynamic is between every pairs. You have Gale in Sun-Moon pairings, Cat-Dog, and cough Breeze-Tempest dynamic.
I can't wait to see everyone's take on Gale WITH a partner. It reminds me of how wherever his partner takes him in the epilogue, be it Avernus, the Underdark, Travelling around the world — he is just one happy guy! There's so much to explore to him in that regard, it's practically endless content.
For an actual question though, is it possible for a contributor to contribute in both the SFW and NSFW section, or at least in other parts other than their original?
(I don't have any experience with zines so I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question.)

As for your question: it depends on the volume of applications, but we are open to letting artists contribute to one or more parts of the zine!

Hi there. Is this going to clash with one with the weave? It would be a shame if people feel like they're unable to apply for both and I was curious about how the deadlines are going to work
It will not! We’ve waited with announcing ours until the One With the Weave zine closed their applications as we agreed upon with them, and will first be opening ours in mid October (mod apps) and late November (contributor apps).

Both Gale zines seem extremely similar aside from this being strictly romance only and having more restrictions in place when it comes to creativity and contributor input. There are a lot that is the same though with little differences aside from those two things. I apologize for being confused on this but I'm struggling to understand.
Again, this zine will be shipping and romance centric, so no solo Gale, while the One With the Weave zine is allowing ship pieces, it is not their main focus.
We also do apologize if you find our handful of subjects which won’t be featured too restrictive, and are certain other zines will be happy to feature those if it’s more to your taste. We merely made the decision to not feature certain themes as the main focus of pieces, as we did not wish for the zine to be too heavy / dark.
And at the end of the day, we don’t see the problem with there being two zines celebrating different aspects to Gale’s character, as the end result is more creatives working together for community projects that eventually benefit those in need through charities. Again, we would like to reiterate that we have been in contact with the One With the Weave zine to avoid any tensions about similar zines and avoid stepping on their toes, and that they offered their support for the project the same way we offered ours for theirs.
