The short answer is no, it doesn't really make her feel connected to them in any meaningful way.

Varis she pities because she could tell from the parlay he really was just trying to do the right thing for his country, as fucked up as said country is, and she doesn't think the fate that befell him was a kind one or even a deserved one.

Zenos she sort of...feels connected to in the sense that he's not wrong about them being similar in some ways. She does crave the adrenaline of a good fight, and will do reckless and life-threatening things to chase that feeling. Not to the extent or in the way he does ofc, but still she can sort of understand. That isn't because of Emet though, these were her feelings towards him even before meeting Emet!

I guess in a way she feels pity for them both bc like. She KNOWS Emet set Garlemald up to crumble. She assumes he wasn't close to them given that he doesn't mention them whatsoever.
