Fiction character or not, I think it's odd to view Chronic Illness as anything... other than chronic illness, im not @/military im someone who saw this on TL.

but why?? 😭 if wounds and heart attacks and amputations can be used to symbolize heartbreak or falling in love or grief then why can't chronic illness be used to symbolize social beliefs or moral decay or being in love or guilt etc etc etc
