Am I a bad person for not wanting to see a certain ship on my tl? It's a difficult feeling bc I'm a ship account and I mainly get shipping content, so when I see genuine cute moments between a certain ship, I feel like "Well yes this is cute, but don't conflate it" then I feel like a hypocrite (I'm sure I am). I know the whole "It's for fun" thing, but am I a bad person for cultivating my tl to exclude ships (romantic shipping, not just "Hey they shared a moment bc they literally are in the same group and are close" moments) that I don't like? And it's no hate to either of the pairing, it's just the ick of seeing them be romantically shipped together. It's a popular ship so I don't even think I could fly get rid of it bc I adore my multiship moots i just don't wanna see it.
Definitely not, anon! We are allowed to have our own preferences when it comes to shipping, sure, it's supposed to be for fun, for entertainment, so what's the problem in you curating your own tl on your own account for your own tastes? Plus I get the feeling, there's a very popular BTS ship that I REALLY don't like, so I just mute the name of the ship and curate my tl so I don't see it. If people think you're a bad person for having your own tastes and opinions, just cut them off or ignore them, it's not a crime or anything bad at all. As long as you don't go on hating the ship (like ynbn antis), it's fine! Go live your life and read your fics in peace, don't feel guilty about it💕
