What types and levels of magic exist in your world?
Can the most powerful magic users alter the world around them or is it not quite that much of a high fantasy setting?
Also, with magic and high tech existing, are there proper magitech things going on, be they starships and such fuelled through secured gates into elemental planes and the like?

I treat magic as a life force that's inside everybody, an energy that you can use to do all sorts of things as long as you're willing to practice and increase your own magical capabilities.

Magic is divided between light and dark magic, the latter being illegal to practice. There are rules you have to abide, enforced by "guardians" and "keepers" - people specifically trained to detect the use of dark magic.

Magic has a very broad range, from lower level spells like elemental magic (manipulating earth, fire etc), illusions, evocations (summonings) and telekinesis to medium-to high level magic such as gravity manipulation, conjurations, teleportations, abjuration, alchemy and divination.

Some of the things listed above can be used for harmful purposes but some practices are specifically classed as dark magic, such as curses, evocations from the Neverworld (demon summonings), some forms of voodoo and necromancy.

Magic is used with technology in quite a few instances as tech can be "coded" to cast magical spells. But to use magical energy it needs to be harvested. Most of it is donated from willing participants but a decent percentage is straight up "farmed" - drained from magical creatures against their will.
Some technology that uses magic are city shield barriers that go up in case of emergency, shielding inhabitants from attacks. Another commonly used technology are teleports, used to quickly hop from one place to another. Spaceships also use magic energy - all spaceships are equipped with magic shield barriers and canons (most commonly used to destroy space debris or mine asteroids).

There's probably more I'll think of later but I think this sums it up for now!
