I have really enjoyed this novel so far, i can see the effort and care that has been put into it and i'm looking forward for what comes next.
The last chapter in particular left me intrigued about the plague, how much the butcher represent the behavior of the whole race? I get that they have advanced technology and great tactical adaptability but the butcher seems to rely more in instinct and its natural traits, or even the most feral of them are capable of complex thinking but in a way the rest of species of the galaxy cant understand?
I will be going into this more to really make it understood that all the Plague drones are unmanned and AI operated. Although very intelligent and able to adapt on the fly to combat 'resistance' the primary design of Butchers/Lumberjack/etc are to harvest their assigned materials in the most efficient ways for collection by the aerial collection back to the Core ships in orbit.
