My own anger is something that scares me and I try to rationalize away or talk myself down from. When was the last time you felt true anger/contempt?

Three weeks ago. My anger is usually hot, permanent and hateful. So I seek relief by venting with words often to defuse the energy. I'm no better than any other human being. I fully expect to be able to kill someone in a rage given the right time, place and trigger. When you fuel my anger long term I might switch from emotional to intellectual. Then things get dangerous. I might set up a trap and wait patiently when you get in to make you feel it. No good to do this. People engaging into acts of cruelty and brute force waste their life and run around in ever more narrow circles. We need to break out of these circles. So I go to my Dojo and practise Zen.
