Which opinions do you hold that could be viewed as ''controversial?' I personally think the benefits of breastfeeding are massively overstated and maternal mental health improves when less pressure is put on them to do so.

It's been found that breastfeeding will give a baby additional protection against illnesses during the first months, but later on this is replaced by the childs own newly formed protection. So yeah, if you are not exposed to infectious threats breastfeeding can be omitted. Especially if your lactation is scarce or doesn't start at all. You're a full mum nevertheless I think. Anything concerning our female bodies is so hugely controlled and discussed and put under pressure and people make a religious subject out of it and you're always a bad woman if you do not howl with the wolves. There are rare cases when a child reacts allegic on mums milk. So feed when you can and want. Some women like the side effect of bigger boobs and some hate it. Some love to breastfeed, some don't. Do what you can to be good to the baby. Cuddel often. And care for your baby to see an orthopaedist just to avoid it to develop any issues, recently I see with great surprise ever more young kids with distorted legs, which is quite easy to rectify at a young age.
