Hi! Thank you for putting this zine together. I was just curious, seeing as the zine will be digital, I was wondering why the number of writers asked for was so low? I do understand keeping writer contributions low on a physical zine, because they're expensive to print and post, but I wasn't sure of the reasoning for the digital zine. Especially as there will be an NSFW add on. Of course the decision is up to the mod team, but I'm just curious about the reasoning (maybe that massive word count you're allowing writers. Haha. Your writing mod is a champ.)
Hello, thanks for your question! Ours is a small team on purpose, this way we can ensure there will be multiple eyes on each piece and feedback available for all our creators.
We also want to ensure we’re creating the best zine we can, giving all our talented contributors the chance to show their skills - hence the high word count for writers and page count for artists. That being said, the contributor number is somewhat flexible and will be contingent on contributor applications!

In your quest for Artists, will there be a separation between Page Artist and Spot Artist? For example I'm good with spot art, but not really talented enough to pull off a spectacular page spread.
Hello! For our Page Artist, we would prefer artists with a portfolio or larger works! Those who prefer to do smaller pieces are welcome to apply for a Merchandise Artist’s role! The Merchandise Artist will have a chance to created phone backgrounds, wallpapers etc.

Hello! No, the contributor applications do open on September 25TH, the schedule has been revamped a bit, but there was a typo on the carrd saying 15 instead of 25 I just noticed. My bad! I just corrected it.

When you say formatting mod needs previous experience, does it need to be a zine or can it be other publications?
It needs to be preferably about zines.

I understand there will be no problematic content in the zine itself, however how do you feel about participants creating it outside of the zine?
Mods do not mind what contributors create outside of the zine, we won’t judge you or dismiss your application for liking/creating fictional dark content. We’re only asking you to not make any as your final submission for the zine if you were to be selected. Submitting problematic content during the contributor apps is fine as long as any of that content gets tagged accordingly, though. While we’re on the topic, we would like to add straight away that we will not accept any form of misbehavior or harassment from a contributor/mod to the other regarding this, and in general.

Do you know if the zine will be digital or print, and in either case, how many writer spots do you think you will have? There usually are less for a print zine. Good luck with the zine!
Hello! The project will be exclusively digital. This includes the main zine, its NSFW add-on, as well as its merch. In terms of writers, we will be selecting 8 of them during the contributor apps, along with 16 artists and 2 merch artists.
