Thinking about it when Dante’s past identity is revealed do you think the freakiness of the inevitable selfcest will depend on how big the difference between their past and current selves?
Probably so.
From what little we saw, Dante pre-amnesia seems like a much more aggressive and unforgiving figure. Our Dante certainly has their moments where they've shown themself to be vindictive, but definitely not as much as the brief glimpse we got of who they were beforehand.
So I definitely think there's high potential for it to be freaky.
Ryoshu melts her skin on Dante's headflame send ask
She's enough of a freak that she'd want to do that.
Though I hc that their flame sputters out in areas where people touch the places they emit. So idk how feasible that is at least in my view. But if Ryoshu could get away with it she definitely would.
Hcs on how Bari reacts to the fate of Dad Quixote and our Sancho?
Ignoring the dad part
I think she'd known by the way La Manchaland fell that it wouldn't have ended well for Don Quixote, especially since he chose to remain and seal them all away instead of doing away with his treacherous Kindreds. She long since made her peace with the fact that this would probably be the last time she ever saw him, and was just determined to carry out his final will and make sure that Sancho would be free of La Manchaland and be able to go wherever she wanted (or was fated) to go. Even if it meant staying in place for a while.
Sancho it feels like she figured out what her general path would be, so set things up to make it easier to find her way (including I'm assuming telling Vergilius her location.)
Their ultimate clash would've been a bittersweet ending, but one I think Bari would've seen as necessary to give the both of them closure they both desperately needed.
Dante head flame temperature play send ask
I could see them Trying. Though idk how well that would work considering we don't know how much anyone can touch the head or flames. But could be fun!
what's your opinion on bari having romantic / sexual relations with all lamancha bloodfiends (including sasha & cassetti) i think it's kind of fun since it means that girl has actually sought all of them out just to lock lips
Personally I only see her as having gotten involved with Don Quixote and Sancho. Maybe Dulcinea if only to dominate her in hate sex. But other than that, I don't see her as having gone after every one of the La Manchaland Bloodstream.
Though I do appreciate the amusing idea of Bari going full harem genre with the vampire manor. Sounds like a VN set-up.
It’s amazing how Meursault/Don shifted from them being opposites at first glance to them turning out to be incredibly similar people. No wonder they share so many mirror worlds and EGOs.
I think one of the fun aspects of 'opposites attract' ships is that, at their cores, they quite often end up being far more similar than they expect/would like to admit!
Sancho appears to be a pessimist bordering on nihilism because of her lonely past, wherein she had literally no one until Don Quixote swooped in and made her into his Kindred. But even when she had a family, the main pleasures she sought out were rooted in their connection to her sire. And she hides her true enthusiasm about things for various reasons, among them likely insecurity about being openly happy considering said past.
And if Meursault is anything like his literary counterpart, he may have also had a mother who he held a connection to and whose death affected him greatly. He seeks out simple pleasures because those are just what makes him happy. He's clearly not emotionless, just suppresses his own thoughts and ideas a lot because, as he says, most people don't really listen to him in full because when he Does talk, he has so much to say that it puts people off.
In the end, they both appear to be people who put up different facades, one of overzealotry and one of indifference, because they believe that their true feelings wouldn't really be understood by others.
What are your hcs for Dante?
Um, let's see. Some basic ones...
- Because of the way their head is, they can't really eat. And they really don't need to since the Golden Bough in their prosthetic head takes care of their body's needs and keeps them up and going. Though they could theoretically ingest something through a tube in their esophagus, they tend to find it unpleasant and so avoid it. But they will hold food when with others and let someone else eat it just to feel included.
- Because of the above reasons they don't really need to breathe also.
- Deal with some chronic/phantom pain issues due to all the rewinds. Especially if they've had to rewind the Sinners several times in a single day.
- The flames on their head react to the proximity of hands/other objects getting close and reduce if something comes too near. So they don't accidentally burn other people or objects by standing near them. But if you held your hands a certain distance away you'd feel the heat coming off of it. But if you're fast enough you could theoretically light something off of the flames. The flames are nonreactive to combustibles/accelerants like gasoline.
Breeding Kink Sinclair is such a funny concept to me because like. He’s the second shortest Sinner in the entire cast. He is so small but he WILL finish inside or so HELP ME GOD
Shorter people are evolutinarily hardwired to compensate for their lack of height with an increase in sexual prowess. Sinclair WILL creampie anyone who he penetrates and that is a promise.
That combined with his general insecurity about his body and having the Ability to do so thanks to him family makes for a very intense kink.
I always shipped Don / Dante just cause I thought it would be funny if Don's delusions turned Dante into their Princess in distress"almost like book Don's Dulcinea. But after Sancho was introduced I had 0 clue how to envision it again, so I wanted to know your opinion on this.
Ooh, hmm...
I think that Sancho would treat Dante as someone precious, even if not "princess-like" in that regard. She views them as her "promised timepiece" who gave her new hope and allowed her to gallop on after a new dream all her own without restraint or shame. I think she'd still act "knightly" to Dante, in that regard. But with her returned maturity she'd be more nuanced and now maybe can act as more of an advisor to Dante, in counteraction to Outis's style of doing so.
do you have any priest/cassetti thoughts.. .. or cassetti/sanson thoughts i'm not picky... if not that's okay...... needy top priest agenda
Admittedly I do not. My two ships for Cassetti thus far have been Cassetti/Sasha and Dulcinea/Cassetti because of the sire/Kindred type of relationship they have. But I haven't had any thoughts of Cassetti specifically with anyone else outside of that. Sorry to disappoint.
Needy Top Priest indeed.
Thoughts on Sancho/Meursault? Recently just came to realize how much parallels they have in terms of story, tbh.
I like the idea on both sides of the coin!
Before Canto VII I can see it as a classic "sunshine and stoic guy" type of thing. Where Meursault appreciated her unbridled optimism despite balancing it out with his pragmatism.
But after Canto VII, it would morph into a quieter, more mature appreciation for each other. Sancho would treat him more as the younger and less mature party, and while previously her self without these greater memories was more into reckless fun, I think that with her full mind with her, Sancho would enjoy Meursault's more subtle but still very pronounced desire for enjoyment.
Bari/Sancho thoughts? either sexual or not is fine…
I really like their whole vibe. I think initially Sancho would get supremely insecure about things because she'd see Don Quixote, the one person she'd ever consider to be trusted and loved, to be getting closer and closer to this strange, persistent woman who he keeps clashing with. Yet, she can't help but be intrigued by her as well. Bari is as patient and consistent with Sancho as she is with Quixote, and it would gradually endear her to Sancho.
And even after they were forced to flee La Manchaland, Bari never left her. She was always by her side. Even after Sancho wanted to forget it all, Bari always respected her wishes and just wanted her to be safe and happy.
It's a love bound by consistency, above anything else. The knowledge that Sancho can rely on her always, in presence or in spirit.
To the anon who brought up "Don and Heathcliff trying to keep it down in the changing rooms" you can't just say that because now you got me wondering which of them has a harder time trying to control their own volume 😭
Probably depends on if it's pre-or post Canto VII.
I'd it's before, probably Don. If after, Heathcliff.
needy pathetic top priest...
NOW you're speaking my language.
I think he should have someone on their knees in front of him sucking him off while he's clenching his teeth with tears dripping down his face even while he's gripping them by the hair and forcing them to deep throat him.
You know. Normal stuff.
Thoughts on Donqui/Sancho?
Classic deep vampire romance. The one who gave her his fang and blood so that she could join him in eternity. The one who tried to give her family and love and who she clung to in all her loyalty because beneath her guarded exterior she wanted the family and love he could offer her. And Don Quixote seeing his most beloved and loyal follower coming after every footstep. From the interaction with Dulcinea, it seems like she was the first Family member he ever made as a Kindred, and then Dulcinea and all her Kindreds coming after her.
Plus all the hot vampire sex.
