William!!! I really like him a lot! Unfortunately for me he's one of those characters i really like but tend to not really think of much... Such a shame because he has such neat stuff. At least he was. Then i started thinking and spiralled and now i'm just banging the floor like.

God William beloved i'm gonna cry.

Okay i got like 50 thoughts so lemme try and break this down-

Basic conclusion- William is like the heart of the group. Everything that happens is either directly or indirectly caused by him and i'm gonna cry.

We're gonna start with Servais as the most of these two have the most to discuss and like. banging on the table god their relationship is the cause of 90% of everything that happens and again. I am going to cry

Starting from the beginning. Johns death. I know there are arguments over did servais deliberately murder John- and i'm more inclined to think it was an accident- (due to Servais' continual guilt over the moment and constant refs ti accidents in events involiving him like during face changers event) mostly because it fits more with the theme of the winters game. Misunderstandings and assumptions.

Everyone in the game is paranoid and makes tragic assumptions based on that paranoia.

William sees Servais checking the props but doesn't understand what he's doing- gets chased out- and then hears about Johns death and assumes murder.

Asduming murder- he assumes Servais hates him and wants him dead.

But thats not the truth! Servais seems mostly indifferent to William- but he did briefly see a younger version of himself in William during the night william broke in backstage- because Servais had done the same when he was young and i'm ;v;

There's an alt timeline where William learns magic tricks from Servais and i am in pain.

Truthfully i can't blame William for distrusting Servais. Like. Death aside Servais' an asshole. He's a middle class dickhead with an explosive temper. Servais isn't charismatic like Freddy, but unlike Freddy he's genuine in his motivations. Lets be honest gamers if i got poisoned i probably would suspect the guy i thought did murder, and servais was acting sus as FUCK

Honestly its kinda funny how Servais, a magician which is a profession around decieving people is the very honest about his motivations- but everyone still ends up 'decieved'. He wants to find Murro. Thats it. Its so funny

Kurt and William: GOD. I did not expect to see Kurt Ride or Die for William BUT I AM HERE FOR IT. I'm just.

Okay based on the diaries you can see William a little bit off put by Kurt despite Kurts best attempts to try and befriend William and the others through telling stories. (Which. Like. God i felt Kurt as a neurodivergent)

I think that changes after Kurt saves William and i'm shakes intensely

Since we only have that one scene i can't quite just yet how much their relationshio has changed after the poisoning- But on Kurt's end its clear he likes William and so willing to try and portect him i'm-

I think its safe to say William views Kurt as his only ally in the manor after the poisoning.

God I want to see them interact more. I hope in Naib's diary we see William devastated i am in the walls.

William and Naib- Okay so this is the relationship I currently have the least on- But from what we do have-

After Kurt's death (which Naib did because he misunderstood Kurt and i'm gonna cry) Naib is probably the only person who gets to clear up the misconceptions William has about him. Which is so funny because he proceeds to lie to will about Kurt!

God and the fact he tries to look for Naib after they get seperated i'm- God when will Naib diaries come. I'm so looking forward to it

Honestly Kurt + Naib + William could have been friends but misunderstandings and lies ruined it. Augh. Man...

Bane and William: Do you think maybe the reason why Bane felt sorry for William is because he saw a innocent soul be decieved and used like babh Orpheus had been during the tragedy.
