If you could pick one thing to permanently change about the way writing is taught in schools what would it be?

I would love to see schools focus on some creative writing. I got my Bachelor of English in University, and my biggest complaint was not being able to have creative freedom with what I was assigned. Many of the things expected from students is objective, and to-the-point, which is understandable in an academic setting. However, I think focusing on how to put your heart and soul into your writing would be nice to have taught... Even though they couldn't physically add that to your arsenal, it would at least help writers find their voice when they write <3
