You have a contributor (w4rms0da) publicly engaging in harassment towards an artist. Is that allowed? If so, I’ll be bummed as I was looking forward to purchasing the zine. . . but someone being allowed to stay on while publicly being nasty about an artist is disappointing
We will need actual proof that he has done as you say. Please do not baselessly acuse our contributors or blow their actions out of proportion

honestly a lil disappointed in this zine :( i wanted to apply but didnt get my question answered until 5 days before apps closed and by then i had stopped checking for updates. hope this isnt how u keep up communication in the future
We're terribly sorry for the late responses. We do not recieve updates when questions are asked and life happens, so we cannot always check. We are currently checking here more often so hopefully, it won't happen again

hello!! for writer applications, it's stated that we need to submit a portfolio with three COMPLETE works between 1000 and 2000 words. would an excerpt/scene from a larger complete work count? thanks!!
If the scene can be understood without the larger context of the piece, then it counts. Sorry for the late response

Is AI prohibited or not? You say "no exceptions" on the info doc but you made an exception for @hctsunes to make a graphic for you despite having AI pinned to their profile.

Will contributors be compensated?
If this ends up being a physical zine, we will aim for contributors to recieve physical bundles. If it ends up being free and digital, unfortunatedly we won't be able to provide compensation.

What is the word count expected of writer samples, and what is the word count for the stories to be included in the zine? I'm afraid I can't apply without knowing this info, and it's listed as TBD on the guidelines

Can you clarify your stance on AI art? I assumed it wouldn't be allowed but @hctsunes is proud enough to pin it to their profile. I was really excited for this project but if you believe it is okay to support AI art (and redrawing does count as supporting since you are still using and toting up work stolen from countless artists as great) I would rather know now before I waste time applying.
Hi, @hctsunes did NOT create the AI piece, only redrew it. It was a trend for a while in OPTWT and we believe that something as simple as redrawing a piece is not supporting AI, though we can understand if you disagree. Sorry for the late response

Do contributors have to have a twitter account? Are other social media profiles acceptable?
On the application you will be asked to link to at least one of your socials, but this can be anything, not just Twitter. While the zine is not on Tumblr or Instagram, you can still use those
