Why is Goro called "the bastard" if Mamakechi and Shido were married? (assuming the queen title was legit because she was queen consort), was Goro born out of wedlock?
i’m pretty sure we’ll explore the exact sequence of events later down the line, but long story short, yes he was. he was conceived before they fully declared mateship. when she gave birth it became somewhat obvious that there was no question about who the father was, but by then the damage was done and everyone simply referred to him as ‘the bastard’ until he became crown Prince.
