I'M SO LATE. But Alice In Cloverland! (also seen it called Kuni no Alice).! Souls in the series are clocks and breaking or eating them is a way to make sure they can come back. There's a visual novel series I never checked out (yet) but people generally agree is better than the manga. A lot of male yanderes from my understanding if you're into that.
BUT YESYYEYS. It's a special sort of devoted love that you're so content how you are that you can't imagine living another life without the other and prefer this to be your last.. Makes me think in AU who offers the idea first between Hakka & Shinri. Maybe Shinri has the idea first but it's Hakka the one pushing for them to actually do it, not a 'haha it would be funny if we did this'
